Today, the largest IT-departments are found in the following sectors : education, health, government, but the government sector has the largest number of IT professionals : 9.824. The health sector is following with 9.521 IT specialists. The transport and education sectors follow with 3.644 and 3.422 specialists.
IT functions Almost every company and organisation has a CIO.
Servers used per sector The sectors that are using the most servers are in order of importance : finance, the industry, the education sector and the transport sector. The top 2000 companies and organisation in BeLux use about 77.516 servers. The financial sector use an average of 78 servers for about 152 companies. The average industry company use 44.8 servers (853 companies are using 38.237 servers). The second largest represented sector is the distribution sector (wholesale and retail) with 309 companies and only an average of 13 servers per company. PC's penetration per sector The financial, education, government and transport sectors have the largest number of users per company.
